Year 6 to 7 Transition
The transition from primary school to secondary school is one of the biggest and most exciting milestones a child will experience in their life, and one they will always remember. For this reason, it is crucial that schools get this transition right.
We are welcoming students to Tomlinscote from over 30 primary schools this year and continually endeavour to foster meaningful and mutually supportive relationships with these establishments. The mark of a successful transition is so dependent upon clear communication with these primary schools and the continued strong relationships we have built.
If you have any questions regarding transition to Tomlinscote then please contact Ms Helene Livesey (Assistant Principal-Transition and Progression) at the school on 01276 709050 (ext. 246)

We are incredibly excited that you will be continuing your educational journey with us at Tomlinscote. We look forward to meeting you this year in your primary schools when we come for our transition visits in the summer term. We are hoping to hold our Transition Evening on 22nd June 2022 and Induction Day on 28th June 2022 (Covid-19 permitting).
See the documents and links below for information about Tomlinscote and joining Year 7.
Please take a look at the video below which we put together with our Year 7s last summer. They wanted to articulate how they felt when they were leaving primary school and how they feel now, settled and happy at Tomlinscote.
