20th March 2017 newsletter small

Our last newsletter this term has a strong competitive flavour, reporting on netballing success in the District Netball Tournament, the Year 8 District Cup Football – good luck in the final next month, boys – and in the Y11 District Basketball final. Particular mention to Max Heyden, who came 26th out of 338 runners in the Intermediate Boys’ race in the National Cross Country Championships.  We have some extremely accomplished young sportsmen and women in our school and are proud of all they achieve.

It was a close-run thing in the Grand Final of the SATRO competition and our team of Y9 girls performed very well but unfortunately were unable to repeat their winning streak from the heats last month. Well done on reaching the final girls!

Lastly, our Y7 Town Planners were hard at work on the Y7 Enrichment Day, when they had to work in groups on the sustainability of a new town. Winners will be presented at a forthcoming Y7 assembly.

We hope you enjoy the Easter break and look forward to seeing you in school on Wednesday 19th April.  Students are permitted to wear the gold polo shirts during this term.
